Man Arrested After Hurling Bricks and Garden Gnome at Cars in Maidstone

A man has been locked up following a bizarre attack on parked vehicles in Maidstone, where bricks and a garden gnome were thrown, smashing car windows.

Chaos on Chancery Lane

At around 7.15pm on Saturday 12 August, several cars on Chancery Lane bore the brunt of a reckless assault. Among the damaged vehicles was a Vauxhall Corsa with a shattered window, hit by the flying debris.

Danny Reed Charged with Criminal Damage

Danny Reed, 45, was arrested later that night. He faces two counts of criminal damage linked to the incident. Police also charged him with breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order from April 2021, after he reportedly trespassed on a homeowner’s driveway in the same area without permission.

Guilty Plea and Pending Sentence

Reed, of 1 Road, Maidstone, pleaded guilty to all charges when he appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 August. He remains on conditional bail ahead of his sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on 24 October.
