Knife-Wielding Gang Targets Man in Gosport Footpath Robbery
Police hunt four men after a terrifying knife robbery attempt in Gosport.
Victim Threatened on Dark Footpath
Just after 10pm on Thursday, April 13, a 30-year-old man was walking alone along the footpath between Harris Road and Gregson Avenue. Suddenly, four young men in hooded tops stopped him and held a knife to demand cash.
Showing quick thinking, the victim fought back and scared off the gang, who fled empty-handed. He suffered minor cuts to his hand but escaped serious harm.
Suspects Described as White Males, 18-25
All four suspects are described as white, aged between 18 and 25, with average builds.
Detective Constable Graham Skull urged locals to stay vigilant: “This attack took place along a quiet, unlit footpath near to the new bus route. This kind of group attack is rare in this area, however we would like to remind members of the public to stick to well lit and populated areas and walk with other people whenever possible.”
