Robbery Suspect Charged After Knife Threat in Strood Newsagent

A man has been charged with theft and robbery after threatening staff with a knife at a newsagent in Medway.

Knife-Wielding Robber Targets Strood Shop

The terrifying incident happened on Tuesday 18 June 2019 at around 6.30pm. The suspect stormed into a shop on Darnley Road, Strood, and threatened to stab a member of staff while stealing tobacco products.

Suspect Arrested and Remanded in Custody

Two days later, police arrested 25-year-old Danny Thompson, who has no fixed address. He has been formally charged with robbery and is currently remanded in custody. Thompson is set to appear before Medway court soon.
