A 50-year-old man from Sandown has been charged after a dramatic armed police search following an assault and property damage.
Three-Hour Manhunt After Violent Incident
Armed officers rushed to Fort Street, Sandown, at around 9:30pm on Tuesday. A tense three-hour manhunt unfolded before the suspect was caught on Golf Links Road.
Man Charged Over Assault and Golf Club Damage
James Anthony Glover, of Fort Street, faces charges of actual bodily harm (ABH) and criminal damage. The damage relates to property at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club.
Glover has been remanded in custody and will appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates later this month. Police investigations into the full details are ongoing.
