East London in Shock: A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a savage stabbing in Stratford left a victim with life-changing wounds.
Brutal Attack on Elis Way
Jasanth Sivanesa allegedly stabbed a person multiple times on August 19, 2024, on Elis Way, a quiet residential street in Stratford surrounded by new high-rises. The victim suffered serious wounds to the head, abdomen, and back at 9:10 PM.
Emergency crews rushed the victim to hospital in critical condition. Thankfully, the injuries were not fatal but have been described by medics as life-changing.
Met Police Crack Case
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police launched an intensive investigation that culminated in Sivanesa’s arrest on Friday, November 29. He was immediately remanded in custody.
So far, police have not revealed the motive behind the attack or any further details.
