Brutal attack in Stratford leaves victim fighting for life
A 21-year-old man, Jasanth Sivanesa, was charged with attempted murder after a savage stabbing in Stratford, East London. The victim suffered life-altering injuries in the attack on August 19.
The terrifying incident happened around 9:10pm on Elis Way, a busy residential street buzzing with modern flats. Emergency services rushed the victim to hospital after finding them with multiple stab wounds to the head, abdomen, and back.
Doctors managed to save the victim’s life, but their injuries are severe and life-changing.
Police swoop and arrest following intensive probe
After an extensive investigation, detectives arrested Sivanesa on Friday, November 29. He was quickly remanded in custody and is due to appear in court today, Monday, December 2.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “This is a very serious charge. Anyone with information about this attack is urged to get in touch via 101, quoting this case.”
