Teen Charged with Murder of 15-Year-Old in Croydon Stabbing

A 17-year-old lad is set to appear in Croydon Youth Court accused of murdering 15-year-old Elianne Andam. The teenager faces charges of murder and knife possession after the fatal attack on Wellesley Road.

Rapid Police Response Fails to Save Victim

Police rushed to the scene at around 8:30am on September 27, arriving within two minutes of the emergency call. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts to give first aid, Elianne tragically died at the scene.

Arrest Made as Knife Recovered

Homicide detectives launched an immediate investigation. Just 75 minutes later, they arrested a 17-year-old male in New Addington. The following day, officers found the suspected murder weapon – a knife – on Cedar Road, Croydon.
