Man Charged with Murder After Woman Found Dead in Whitechapel Flat
Detectives have charged a man with murder following the death of a woman in Whitechapel, East London.
Tragic Discovery on Crowder Street
Police were called to a flat on Crowder Street, E1, at around 1:30pm on Friday, 26 April after concerns were raised for a woman’s welfare. Officers arrived alongside the Ambulance Service and found a 35-year-old woman, later named as Amy Parsons, pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Roderick Deakin-White, 37, from the same Crowder Street address, was arrested on suspicion of murder the same day. He was formally charged on Sunday, 28 April, and is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 29 April.
Investigation Underway
- A post-mortem examination is scheduled for this week.
- The victim and suspect are believed to have known each other.
- No one else is currently being sought in connection with the incident.
