Security Guard Denies Shocking Plot to Kidnap and Kill Holly Willoughby
Gavin Plumb, 36, a security guard from Harlow, Essex, has dramatically denied claims he planned to kidnap and murder TV star Holly Willoughby. The court heard Plumb allegedly assembled a ‘kidnap and restraint’ kit at his home and even arranged for an American hitman to abduct the 42-year-old celebrity.
Denied Charges at Chelmsford Crown Court
In a tense hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court, Plumb pleaded not guilty to three serious offences, including soliciting murder and incitement to kidnap. Wearing a grimy grey T-shirt, he sat silently as the charges were read out, refusing to admit any wrongdoing.
The charge sheet revealed he had “solicited, encouraged, persuaded, or proposed” the murder of the former This Morning presenter. Police say he was also found with weapons and had built a restraint kit to carry out the plot.

Judge Mary Loram KC adjourned the case, setting a trial date for 24 June next year and warned Plumb about the importance of appearing. Meanwhile, Plumb insists he is innocent as the high-profile case unfolds, grabbing national attention.
