Man Faces Murder Charge Over Fatal Brixton Bus Attack

A 39-year-old man has appeared at the Old Bailey charged with murder after a deadly bus bust-up in Brixton.

Bus Fight Ends in Tragedy

Nathan Grant, from Lambeth Walk, Brixton, was initially charged with attempted murder and theft following a violent incident on a route 59 bus along Brixton Road on November 21.

The victim, 40-year-old Donovan Martin, was rushed to hospital but sadly died from his injuries on November 25 at around 2:30pm.

Grant’s Charges Set to Be Upgraded

Grant first appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on November 23 and was remanded in custody. He returned to court on December 6 at the Old Bailey, where prosecutors confirmed that the charges will be amended to murder at a future hearing.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command is continuing its probe and needs the public’s help.
