Brutal Barking thug locked up for spitting at cops and domestic assault
Man arrested for brutal attack and damaging woman’s property
A 21-year-old man was hauled in by Met officers after a nasty domestic assault in Barking on 20 April. Brandon Wallace, of no fixed address, didn’t just attack a woman close to him—he also caused damage to her property.
Spitting stunt lands him more time behind bars
While being shoved into the police van, Wallace falsely claimed he had Covid-19 and spat at two officers. This sick stunt earned him an additional charge of assaulting emergency workers. Later tests confirmed he had no symptoms or infection.
Six months inside for violent offender
Wallace pleaded guilty at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court the very next day. The judge sentenced him to six months in prison for assault, criminal damage, and assaulting police officers.
Police send strong warning to offenders
“Thousands of officers are working tirelessly to keep London safe, especially from domestic violence,” said Inspector Alexis Manley, East Area Command Unit.
“Wallace’s fake Covid claim and assault on officers shows his vile attitude. We hope his jail time makes him think twice and sends a clear message: if you attack victims or those protecting Londoners, you’ll be arrested and locked up.”
This tough sentence underlines the Met’s zero-tolerance policy on violence against women and emergency workers during these challenging times.
