High Wycombe Burglar Slapped with Six-and-a-Half Years Behind Bars
Vincent Trillow, 38, from High Wycombe, has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of burglary. The jury at Aylesbury Crown Court delivered the verdict on Tuesday, August 28, following crimes committed last winter and early this year.
Two Burglary Spree Hits Bourne End and Marlow
Trillow’s first break-in happened between December 22 and 28, 2017, in Bourne End. He forced his way into a home, stealing jewellery, an iPad, and car keys. Just weeks later, between January 15 and 16, 2018, he struck again in Marlow, making off with more jewellery, designer handbags, cash, and games consoles.
Police Nab Burglar After Months of Investigations
He was arrested on March 5 and charged on March 22. During his two-day trial, Trillow was found guilty of two burglaries but cleared of two other charges. He received six and a half years for one offence and five and a half years for the other, with sentences running concurrently.
Detective Constable Beck Brydon from High Wycombe’s Investigation Hub said: “Burglary is an incredibly invasive crime and one that we will always investigate seriously. This substantial sentence highlights the impact these crimes have and shows how strongly the criminal justice system views them.
“Thanks to hard work and a lengthy investigation, this is a great result. The sentence ensures Trillow won’t be able to harm the community for some time.”
