Mask Thief Jailed for Snatching PPE from South London Hospital

A thief who swiped surgical masks from King’s College Hospital in south London has been locked up for three months.

Lerun Hussain, 34, from Clapham, was caught red-handed by hospital security after nicking three face masks on Sunday, 5 April. The theft happened at around 11.20am in Denmark Hill, Lambeth.

Swift Justice at Croydon Court

Police were called, and Hussain was arrested not only for theft but also for breaching a court order. Charged later that day, he appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on 7 April.

He pleaded guilty and was immediately sentenced to 12 weeks behind bars.
