Amesbury Man Jailed for Trying to Arrange Child Sex Meeting
A 58-year-old man from Amesbury, Kurt Anderssen, has been convicted and locked up for attempting to arrange a sexual encounter with a child.
Guilty on Multiple Child Sex Offence Counts
At Winchester Crown Court, a jury found Anderssen guilty of:
- Three counts of arranging or facilitating child sex offences
- Encouraging the distribution of indecent images of children
- Two counts of making indecent images of a child
He was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison.
The Sick Plot Exposed
The court heard how Anderssen used social media to discuss paying for sex with the supposed seven-year-old daughter of the person he was talking to. A meeting date was set but Anderssen later cancelled, doubting whether the child was real.
Wiltshire Police swooped on Anderssen at his home on December 9, 2021. They seized multiple electronic devices, uncovering evidence he had searched for and downloaded child abuse material.
Police Urge Public to Report Child Exploitation
Wiltshire Police continue their fight to protect vulnerable children and bring offenders like Anderssen to justice. They urge anyone with information about child exploitation to come forward and report it immediately.
