Brutal Hounslow Attack Ends in Tragedy
James Donnelly, 45, died after a savage and sustained assault at his home in Hounslow. The attacker, 22-year-old Leo Pryce from Hayes, has been sentenced for manslaughter at the Old Bailey on February 29th.
Knife Attack After Friendship Turns Deadly
Pryce had recently befriended James before launching the brutal attack at his Station Road residence. The horrifying incident came to light on July 15th, 2023, when London Ambulance Service" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Ambulance Service discovered James lifeless with multiple stab wounds.
Forensic experts confirmed the knife found at the scene was the murder weapon. Witnesses at the scene helped police quickly pinpoint Pryce, who was arrested the next day.
Hospital Order and Assault Charges for Pryce
Pryce was sentenced to a Hospital Order under Section 37 of the Mental Health Act. He also faced charges for possession of a bladed article and two assaults on emergency workers during the incident on July 16th, 2023.
Met Police Praise Community for Swift Justice
“Thanks to the witnesses’ accounts, we were able to piece together events quickly and arrest Pryce, ensuring public safety,” said Detective Chief Inspector Matt Webb, leading the Met’s Homicide Team.
DCI Webb offered his deepest condolences to James Donnelly’s family, hoping the conviction brings some comfort during their difficult time.
