Armed Fugitive on the Loose in Bucks – Police Launch Manhunt
Thames Valley Police are in hot pursuit of Osei Kuffour, who escaped from HMP Springhill near Grendon Underwood, Buckinghamshire. The 36-year-old failed to return after his prison licence was revoked on Sunday night, 19 October 2025.
Dangerous Criminal Running Free
Kuffour is now unlawfully free and considered dangerous. He is around 5ft 5ins tall with a stocky frame. Last seen wearing dark tracksuit bottoms or jeans and a black jacket, police warn he often hangs around Ilford, London.
Violent History: Convicted Attempted Murderer
Kuffour received a 25-year sentence after shooting a 36-year-old woman in the face during a botched drug deal in Newham back in 2012. The bullet struck her cheekbone from just a metre away.
Police Warn: Do Not Approach – Call 999
Detective Inspector Mark Hill urged the public: “We are appealing for help to trace Osei Kuffour, who is unlawfully at large after failing to return to HMP Springhill.
If you see Kuffour, do not approach him. Call 999 immediately.
