Man Arrested in London Over Murder of Woman in Peru
Jorge Garay Held for Killing in Lima
Jorge Garay, 46, from Hythe Street, Dartford, was nabbed in London on Saturday, 15 October 2022, with help from the Metropolitan Police Service. The Crown Prosecution Service swiftly authorised charges against him for the murder of 36-year-old Karla Godoy.
Crime Timeline and Charges
The victim, Karla Godoy, was killed in Lima, Peru, between Wednesday 21 September and Sunday 2 October. Garay, who knew the victim, is now in custody and set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 17 October.
