Drink-Driver Sloshed Over Limit in Maidstone

Krzysztof Smajdo, 38, with no fixed address in Medway, was slammed with a hefty sentence at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 14 February 2022. The rogue admitted to driving dangerously and being well over the drink-drive limit on 18 December 2021.

Double the Legal Alcohol Limit

When stopped, Smajdo blew 85 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit? Just 35 microgrammes. That’s more than double the allowed level – a serious risk to everyone on the roads.

Heavy Penalties Hit Hard

  • 18-month driving ban
  • £1,000 fine
  • £100 victim surcharge
  • £85 court costs

The court’s tough stance sends a clear warning: drink-driving will not be tolerated.
