Police arrested a 27-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both local to the area, in connection with the stabbing.

Following recent contact with the victim, Thames Valley Police have made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). The IOPC will decide whether to launch its own investigation to ensure transparency and accountability in the case.
