Thames Valley Police have launched a murder probe after a 48-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Milton Keynes. The force was alerted by South Central Ambulance Service around 6.47pm on January 25, following the grim discovery of the victim in Brooklands Square.

Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, the man tragically died at the scene. Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Alice Broad offered her condolences and vowed a full and thorough investigation. The victim’s family has been informed.

Two People Arrested as Police Crack Down on Knife Crime

Police arrested a 27-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both local to the area, in connection with the stabbing.

Chief Superintendent Emma Baillie, Milton Keynes’ Local Policing Commander, condemned the violence but insisted the community will continue efforts to tackle knife crime and serious violence.

Independent Office for Police Conduct to Review Case

Following recent contact with the victim, Thames Valley Police have made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). The IOPC will decide whether to launch its own investigation to ensure transparency and accountability in the case.
