A Morrisons employee is fighting for her life after a shocking stabbing inside the Castle Quay store on Jersey’s St Helier waterfront. The brutal attack happened just after 1pm on Saturday, right in front of Christmas shoppers.

Man Arrested and Charged with Attempted Murder

Police arrested a 55-year-old man on Monday, charging him with attempted murder following the vicious assault. The victim, a 34-year-old woman, was stabbed multiple times in a terrifying attack that left the supermarket evacuated and the area sealed off with police crime tents.

Victim in Critical Condition, Police Appeal for Witnesses

The woman remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition. Jersey Police have assured the public that there is no wider threat but are urgently asking anyone who saw what happened or has information to come forward.
