Murder Probe Launched After Woman Found Dead in Woolwich Flat

Tragic Discovery on Argyll Road

Police were called to a flat on Argyll Road, Woolwich, SE London, at around 5:25 PM on Friday, January 17. Officers entered after concerns were raised for the occupant’s welfare. Inside, they found a 43-year-old woman who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s family have been informed, but official identification is pending.

Blunt Force Trauma Confirmed as Cause of Death

A post-mortem on Saturday, January 18 revealed the cause of death was blunt force trauma and a head injury.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Chief Inspector Suzanne Soren from Specialist Crime South said: “This is a deeply tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family, who are being supported by specialist officers. At this early stage, we believe the suspect was known to the victim. We are urgently working to trace this individual.”
