Quick Arrest After Man Caught Spraying Graffiti in Newhaven

A man was charged with criminal damage just minutes after being spotted spraying graffiti on a building in Newhaven. Police community support officer (PCSO) acted fast, finding the suspect only five minutes after the report came in.

Speedy Police Action in West Quay

The incident happened around 11:55 am on Tuesday, April 4, at West Quay. CCTV footage showed the suspect in action, allowing a local PCSO to track him down quickly.

Suspect Charged and Released on Bail

The man, 67-year-old Andrew Bryant from Hillcrest Road, Newhaven, was arrested nearby and charged with criminal damage. He has been granted conditional bail and is set to appear at Brighton and Hove Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 20.
