London Crime Crackdown: Nine Arrested in Major Drug and Gun Sweep
This morning, Thursday 12 April, police carried out a massive operation across London, arresting nine suspects in a huge blow to violent crime. The raids hit eight different locations, resulting in six men and three women, aged 14 to 49, being hauled in for drugs and firearms offences.
Heavy Firearms and Drugs Seized in Dawn Raids
Officers didn’t come empty-handed. The police seized a sub-machine gun, a handgun, ammunition, stacks of cash, and significant amounts of what’s believed to be Class A drugs. Over 200 Met officers joined forces for the swoop — including units from Operation Viper, Trident, and the Area Crime Command.
Targets Include Youths and Hard-Hitting Gang Members
The arrests capped a five-month intelligence-led hunt aiming at a violent West London gang linked to city-wide drug trafficking. Specialist officers employed both covert and overt tactics to nail high-level offenders.
Commissioner Cressida Dick, who was at the raid on Blenheim Close, said:
“They are very violent. Several have a history of violence, with at least one suspected of regularly using firearms. They’re arrested for conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.”
“They’ve made huge sums from this illegal trade, using violence and exploiting vulnerable people, including children as young as 14 engaged in drug dealing.”
“People like this cause fear and devastation. This sends a clear message that the police are putting serious effort into stopping them.”

- Blenheim Close, Greenford: 28-year-old man, suspected conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
- Stephendale Road, Fulham (1st address): 30-year-old man, suspected conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of firearms.
- Glenhurst Road, Brentford: 34-year-old man, conspiracy to supply Class A drugs; 34-year-old woman, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs; 33-year-old woman, handling stolen goods.
- Dorchester Close, Northolt: 29-year-old man, conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
- Stephendale Road, Fulham (2nd address): 14-year-old boy, suspected conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
- Fulham Road, Fulham: 17-year-old boy, suspected conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
- Nevern Place, Earls Court: 49-year-old woman, suspected conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
All nine suspects remain in custody at a West London police station as investigations continue. This crackdown is a clear warning to London’s criminal underworld — the Met means business.
