Man in 30s Seriously Hurt in Halfway Street Hit-and-Run
Police rushed to Halfway Street at 11:22am on Friday, 14 October after reports of a car crashing into a pedestrian.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was rushed to hospital. He remains in a life-threatening condition. His family have been informed and are receiving support from officers.
Teen Driver Arrested Over Dangerous and Drug Driving
The driver, a 19-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He has since been released on bail while police continue their investigation.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are hunting for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage.
