Robbery Suspect Flees Prisoner Transport in Poole Naked!
Dorset Police are hunting for 32-year-old Kyle Darren Eglington after he made a daring escape from a court prisoner transport vehicle in Hardy Road, Poole. The shocking incident happened at 11:13am on Saturday, 26 March 2022, following an assault on security officers.
Man on the Run in Just Underwear and Socks
Eglington, who had been remanded in custody for a robbery in Bournemouth just two days prior, was only wearing his underwear and socks when he bolted. He is described as white, 5’11”, medium build, with dark brown hair and a beard.
Police quickly launched a major search operation, calling in the NPAS helicopter and British Transport Police to help track him down.
Police Urge Public: Do Not Approach, Call 999
Superintendent Heather Dixey said: “We have a number of officers combing the area to find Kyle Eglington and bring him back to lawful custody.”
“If you spot a man in his underwear and socks matching this description, please do not approach him. There’s currently no evidence he poses a risk to the public, but call 999 immediately.”
“There will be a strong police presence locally. Anyone with concerns can speak to officers on site.”
