Man Charged Over Shocking Southampton Attempted Murder

A man has been charged after a brutal attempted murder in Southampton’s Coleman Street on Friday, 18 November.

Victim Survives Life-Threatening Attack

The attack unfolded around 1pm, leaving a 19-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. Thankfully, the victim has now been discharged from hospital.

18-Year-Old Held for Attempted Murder and Knife Offences

Roman Omari, 18, from Queensway, Southampton, faces charges of attempted murder, possession of a knife or pointed article, and violent disorder.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on 23 November.

Police Arrest Three Others

The investigation also saw the arrest of three other Southampton men, aged 18, 19, and 21. Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
