Woman Charged Over Racist Abuse in Colchester

A woman has been slapped with charges following shocking claims her family was racially abused in Colchester.

Teresa Jefferies Arrested

Teresa Jefferies, 58, was arrested on Sunday, 11 October, over incidents that took place last month in Chinook, Colchester.

Serious Charges Laid

Jefferies faces multiple charges, including using threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress. She is also charged with racially or religiously aggravated abuse and breaching a restraining order.

Denied All Charges, Trial Scheduled

Jefferies, who lives in Chinook, denied all allegations at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 12 October. She is set to stand trial at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on 22 March.
