Just before 11pm on Sunday, June 30, 2024, chaos broke out at the Music Shop Bar in New Rents, Ashford. Kent Police rushed to the scene after reports of a man and woman being assaulted. The man suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police have arrested and charged two men in connection with the attack. Both suspects were remanded in custody and are set to appear in court next month.
