Sixth Arrest Made After Camden BBQ Shooting

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday, 3 September. He has since been bailed until early October as police continue their hunt for answers.

Ongoing Investigation Sees Multiple Arrests

This latest arrest marks the sixth in the ongoing probe into gunfire that rocked a Camden BBQ. Here’s a quick rundown:

  • On Tuesday, 17 August, a 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of a firearm with intent.
  • Two teenagers were nabbed on Wednesday, 16 August:
    • A 16-year-old boy suspected of possession of an offensive weapon, robbery, and possession of a firearm with intent.
    • A 17-year-old boy suspected of possession with intent to supply and possession of a firearm with intent.
  • Another 22-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 19 August for possession of a firearm with intent.
  • A 21-year-old man was arrested on Friday, 20 August.

All five remain on bail until mid-September while the police dig deeper into the case.

Gunfire Erupts at Camden BBQ

The shocking shooting happened just before 10:10pm on Saturday, 14 August in Clarence Gardens, NW1. A large crowd was enjoying a BBQ when up to five unknown men opened fire indiscriminately, injuring four people.

Emergency services, including firearms officers and paramedics, rushed to the scene. The victims were rushed to hospital:

  • 17-year-old girl
  • Two women aged 19 and 73
  • 28-year-old man

The 73-year-old woman remains in hospital recovering. The other three have been discharged.
