Two Teens Attacked in Late-Night Bench Brawl on Church Street
Just before midnight on Saturday, 6 May 2023, tragedy nearly struck in Church Street. Two 18-year-old lads were chilling on a bench with a woman when three men strolled up. Tensions sparked, leading to a heated verbal showdown. Things quickly turned ugly, and the pair were set upon by the trio.
Victims Escape Serious Injury
Thankfully, neither of the young men needed immediate medical attention. They walked away without serious harm, but the ordeal left shockwaves across the community.
Cops Nab Two Locals, Hunt Third Suspect
Dorset Police swooped in and arrested two local men, aged 49 and 56, on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm. Both have since been released on bail while investigations continue.
“Our investigation remains ongoing and we have obtained an image of a man we would like to identify,” revealed Police Constable Angelika Dworczak.
“I urge anyone who recognises this individual to get in touch. We also want to speak to witnesses or anyone with mobile or dashcam footage of the incident.”
