Detectives Hunt Witnesses After Rape Report at Canterbury Bar
Police are urgently seeking witnesses following a reported rape at The Loft Bar in Canterbury.
Horrific Attack at Loft Bar
The incident happened just after midnight on Saturday, 5 February 2022. The victim was in the ladies’ toilets upstairs when the attack occurred. Police believe other patrons heading to and from the toilets around that time may have seen something crucial.
Suspect Arrested, Still on Bail
A 36-year-old Canterbury man was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of rape. He remains under investigation and is currently on police bail until 4 March 2022.
Police Plea: Come Forward
Kent Police want to hear from anyone who was at The Loft Bar that night, especially those who visited the upstairs toilets. They stress that no detail is too small – even the slightest clue could crack the case.
