Jewellery Heist Queen Nabbed in Luton
Daiana Anghel’s luxury ring spree has come to a crashing halt. The 23-year-old was arrested by the Maidstone Victim Based Crime Team after a cross-country swoop on her Luton pad.
Stolen Bling and Fake Rings
It all started back on August 17, 2022, when Anghel tried on rings at the H Samuel store in Bluewater. Staff were stunned to find three rings missing after she left—two of which were sneakily swapped for fakes.
Then just weeks later on September 10, a ring worth nearly £9,000 vanished from Cornell and Sons in Maidstone, stolen by a woman posing as a customer.
Crackdown and Court Date
Anghel was hauled in from her home on Tenby Drive, Luton, on January 11, charged with:
- Two counts of theft
- One count of fraud
- Possession of over 60 fake rings, ready for fraud
At Luton Magistrates’ Court the very next day, she admitted guilt. She’s now on conditional bail, with sentencing set for February 23 at Luton Crown Court.
Justice is coming for this bling bandit – and it’s going to be tough.
