Notorious Paedophile Andrew Temple Dies Behind Bars
Andrew Temple, the vile paedophile who raped his niece from the age of eight, has died in prison. The 60-year-old was serving an eight-year sentence for horrific sex crimes when he passed away at HMP Edinburgh on Saturday, October 11.
Years of Sickening Abuse
Temple, from Loanhead in Midlothian, was convicted at Edinburgh High Court of seven offences, including two counts of rape and three of indecent behaviour against his niece, Kerrie Feehan. He also faced two additional charges of indecency involving boys.
His abuse stretched across Easthouses, Dalkeith, and Fort William from 1996 to 2004.
Victim’s Harrowing Ordeal
Kerrie revealed the nightmare of being assaulted up to 3,000 times between the ages of 8 and 16. It started when Temple raped her while her sister slept just next door.
At 15, traumatised and desperate, Kerrie tried to take her own life with an overdose — only for Temple to sneak into her hospital room and attack her again.
She later found out she was pregnant with Temple’s child but tragically lost the baby at four months.
At 17, Kerrie secretly recorded Temple in an attempt to force a confession. But he became suspicious and brutally attacked her with a knife during the confrontation.
Justice Was Long Overdue
Kerrie reported the abuse to police multiple times. In 2003 and again in 2010, her pleas were ignored, letting Temple carry on his sickening crimes.
It wasn’t until 2014, after moving to South Shields and gaining support from her partner Caroline, that the case finally went to trial.
Temple denied all charges but was found guilty and jailed.
