Man Left Critically Injured in Brutal Oldham Assault
Greater Manchester Police are urgently hunting for clues after a vicious attack left a 45-year-old man fighting for his life in Oldham.
What Happened?
The shocking assault unfolded around 9.30pm on Sunday, September 10, near Ashton Road and Kent Street. The victim was forcibly taken in a grey Audi from the scene before being dumped at his home, severely hurt.
He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. Police believe it was a targeted attack.
Arrest Made but Investigation Ongoing
A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault but has been released on bail as inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detectives want anyone who was near Ashton Road or Kent Street and who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage to step forward.
Detective Inspector Victoria Wade said, “We are keen to gather as much information as we can that will help us with our investigation. We believe this to be a targeted attack, and we are keen to ensure that the local community are reassured that we are doing everything to bring the right person to justice.
