Three cars were stolen during a brazen burglary in Deal’s Sholden area on Friday, 18 June 2021. The thief also made off with the property owner’s wallet and bank cards in the raid.

Suspect Marcus Jones Arrested and Charged

Kent Police’s Chief Constable’s Crime Squad moved swiftly, charging 20-year-old Marcus Jones from Torrington Drive, Liverpool, with burglary linked to the Deal incident. Jones also faces two counts of attempted burglary connected to other offences in the town on the same night.

Ongoing Probe as Jones Await Crown Court Hearing

Jones appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 19 August, where he was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Canterbury Crown Court. Police continue their investigation to identify any other suspects involved.
