Man Charged Over Brutal Broad Daylight Stabbing in North London

A man has been charged following the shocking murder of a 30-year-old on Upper Street, Islington, in broad daylight last Monday.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Reece Daniel Williams, 26, from Islington, was arrested on Friday, 25 May, and charged with murder. He remains in custody and is due to appear at Haringey Magistrates Court on Monday, 28 May.

Detectives Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Detective Chief Inspector Whellams described the attack as “brutal” and urged anyone who saw the incident or captured it on phone or dash-cam to come forward.

“This was a brutal attack that was carried out on a busy street in broad daylight. I am asking anyone who saw the assault or has any information to contact detectives.

In particular, we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around this time, who may have filmed any part of the incident on their phones or has dash-cam footage. Your information could be vital in helping us understand what caused this tragic loss of life.”
