Man Charged with Murder After Westcliff Stabbing
A 31-year-old Enfield man has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and aggravated burglary following a deadly stabbing in Westcliff. He is set to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 6 February.
Hunt Continues for Suspect in Fatal Attack
Police are still searching for Mitchell Harris, 28, linked to a violent incident at a Tintern Avenue home around 4.25am on Thursday 12 December. During the disturbance, 25-year-old Asqeri Spaho from Westcliff was fatally stabbed.
A second man was rushed to hospital after being attacked at the same address. Harris, believed to have connections in London’s Highbury area, remains at large.
Additional Arrests and Court Dates
- A 22-year-old man from Highbury and a 31-year-old from Upper Holloway face charges of murder, attempted murder, and aggravated burglary. Both are due in Basildon Crown Court on Monday 2 March.
- A 31-year-old Tottenham man was arrested for murder, attempted murder, and possession of Class A drugs. He has since been released on bail until 24 March.
- A 27-year-old Enfield man arrested on 28 December for similar charges is also out on bail until 27 March.
