Police have Man charged after scaling Nursery Roof

Man who scaled roof of nursery in Swanley to appear in court A man who climbed onto the roof of a children’s nursery in Swanley has been charged with causing criminal damage. Kent Police was called at 1.03pm on Thursday 14 June to reports a man and a woman were on the roof of building in St Mary’s Road. The woman came down but the man refused to and a road had to be closed while police remained at the scene. He was detained by police officers at around 6.30pm and brought down safely. Troy Clark, aged 21 and of no fixed address was subsequently charged with causing criminal damage to property. He was further charged with an assault, alleged to have happened earlier the same day. He is due to appear before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 20 July.
