Teen and Young Man Busted with Nitrous Oxide and Drug Gear in Margate
Police Stop Suspicious Driver in Northdown Road
Just after midnight on Saturday, 22 April 2023, police on patrol in Margate pulled over a car on Northdown Road due to its dodgy driving. The vehicle search turned up a wrench and eight large cans of nitrous oxide – commonly abused as a recreational drug.
Drug Dealing Paraphernalia and Cash Found
Officers also seized drug-dealing kit, including stacks of cash, empty deal bags, a nozzle, and balloons used for inhaling nitrous oxide. The haul pointed to serious drug intent.
Two Arrested: Drink/Drug Driving & Weapons Charges
- A 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy – both from Margate – were arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive due to drink or drugs and possessing drugs with intent to supply.
- The teenager also faces charges for possessing an offensive weapon and driving without proper licence.
Both suspects have been released on bail pending further enquiries, with a court date set for 16 July.
