Gunshots Rattle Edgware Street on Christmas Eve

Police rushed to Abbots Road in Edgware at 9:15pm on Friday, December 23, after reports of a parked car damaged by what’s believed to be a gunshot. The Metropolitan Police confirmed a crime scene has been set up as officers dig into the shooting.

Forensics On the Case – No Arrests Yet

On Christmas Eve, forensic teams combed the street for clues, but so far, no arrests have been made. The gunman remains on the loose. Thankfully, the Met says there have been no reports of injuries.

Residents Describe Horror Night

  • Locals in Mill Hill and Burnt Oak reported hearing loud gunshots late Friday night, describing the scene as “covered in police tape and forensics.”
  • One resident claimed it was a “drive-by shooting,” while another said, “they missed their target.”
  • “The gunshots were so loud,” said a woman living close to the scene.
