Woman in 50s Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Ollerton
A woman in her 50s tragically died after being hit by a car on Newark Road, Ollerton, at around 10.25pm on December 8. The driver sped off without stopping, leaving the pedestrian fatally injured at the scene.
Man Arrested Over Fatal Hit-and-Run
Nottinghamshire Police arrested a 33-year-old man from the area on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident, and failing to report the incident. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
“The investigation is moving at pace, and we have now arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident,” said Sergeant Steve Waft from Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
“This has been incredibly distressing for the victim’s family and our thoughts continue to be with them at this difficult time.”
