Two Men Arrested After Early Morning Rape in Brighton Car Park

Police swooped after a woman in her 30s reported being raped on the top floor of the NCP Car Park in Russell Road, Brighton, at around 6:10am on Saturday, April 15.

Suspects Held and Released on Bail

A 39-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of rape, theft, and possession of a Class B drug. A 41-year-old Brighton local was also picked up on suspicion of rape. Both men have been released on conditional bail while investigations continue.

Community Urged to Help Police with Info

“We understand this is a shocking incident that will cause concern among the community. A full and thorough investigation is underway, and we swiftly identified two suspects who have been brought into custody,” said Detective Inspector Matt Stevens.

Stevens called on witnesses to step forward: “If you saw anything suspicious around the time of the attack, or have dashcam footage, please contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 276 of 15/04.”
