Robbery Suspects Nabbed in Brighton and Hove Police Blitz

Police have arrested four men linked to a series of robberies across Brighton and Hove, following a targeted day of action last week.

37-Year-Old Caught at Bus Stop

On 20 September, officers spotted a 37-year-old suspect at a bus stop on Church Street. He is wanted for stealing cash and bank cards from a robbery victim. The man was promptly arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Three More Held in Follow-Up Raids

Just days earlier, on 23 September, police arrested three men aged 25, 31, and 45 during a coordinated crackdown. All four suspects have been bailed under strict conditions while investigations continue.

Knife-Point Robbery Charges After Quick Police Response

On the same day, officers rushed to Norwich Crescent following reports of a knife-point robbery. A 22-year-old man and 21-year-old woman from Brighton were arrested after investigators tracked a suspect vehicle to Goldstone Retail Park. The man has since been charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article, and breaching bail. Both remain in custody.

Aggravated Burglary Arrest Made in Hove

Police also arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with an aggravated burglary on Church Road, Hove. After being interviewed, he was released on bail with conditions.

Inspector Dan McCarthy said: “We are pleased with the results of this day of action, where we brought our resources together to locate and arrest suspects wanted in connection with these serious incidents. Our priorities are to protect the communities of Brighton and Hove, catch those who commit crime in our area, and deliver excellent service to our communities.”
