Repeat Eastbourne Drug Dealer Banged Up for Six and a Half Years
Nigel Hollands, a persistent cocaine dealer in Eastbourne, has been slammed with a hefty prison sentence for supplying Class A drugs—again. This marks his third time behind bars for the same crime.
Caught Red-Handed With Evidence on Phone
Back in June 2022, police swooped after spotting suspicious messages on a phone that weren’t even Hollands’. Officers quickly linked the chats back to Hollands, stopped him on Beach Road, and found the phone on him. He was arrested and later let go under investigation as detectives dug deeper.
Guilty Plea and Heavy Sentence
- July 2023: Hollands charged with supplying cocaine and handling criminal property.
- August 18, 2023: The 37-year-old Eastbourne local pleads guilty at Lewes Crown Court.
- October 6, 2023: Sentenced to 6½ years in prison.
Despite prior convictions and previous jail time for cocaine supply, Hollands carried on his dodgy dealings, showing no signs of reform.
Police Warn Fellow Dealers
APS Johnson, lead investigator, said, “We hope this sends a message to others that we take the supply of drugs very seriously and are committed to putting drug dealers behind bars where they belong.”
Hollands’ latest sentence serves as a stark warning to Eastbourne’s drug scene: the law won’t tolerate repeat offenders.
