Rolex Rippers Busted! Two violent gangsters have been locked up for terrorising London’s streets with savage watch robberies near luxury showrooms.

Brutal Blows Outside Rolls-Royce Showroom

Tedros Haile, 35, and Mahad Jammeh, 24, were sentenced to 11 and 8 years respectively this week. Their spree targeted victims flaunting pricey watches, including a chilling attack outside the Rolls-Royce showroom on Stratton Street, Mayfair, on 25 June 2024.

Ambushes and Threats in London’s West End

The trio, including 27-year-old Christian Whittingham, jumped out of a white BMW wearing masks. They ambushed Michail Rivas, snatching his £1,000 Mido Baroncelli Moonphase Chronograph before speeding off.

Later the same night, they hit again on Brewer Street. Mark Jackson and Oliver Wragg were assaulted after a night out. One attacker barked, “Get his watch,” while another threatened to “stab him in the face.” Jackson was hit with a hard object and punched repeatedly. Wragg was choked until he gave up a £600 Audemars Piguet replica.

The gang fled in their BMW, now linked to all three robberies.

Repeat Offenders with Long Criminal Records

Jammeh has a violent past with 11 robbery convictions, starting at just 15. Haile was breaching a suspended sentence after a burglary when he struck. Haile, from Guinness Trust Buildings, Fulham Palace Road, admitted one robbery but was convicted of another robbery and attempted robbery after trial. Jammeh, from Welch House, Beaconsfield Road, Enfield, admitted two robberies and one attempted robbery.

Judge Christopher Hehir slammed the attacks as “gratuitous,” “shocking, organised and predatory.”

Third Gang Member Awaits Sentence

Christian Whittingham, of Granville Road, Uxbridge, has admitted his role and will be sentenced later.

The case has sparked fresh concerns about the rise in street robberies targeting London’s luxury shopping hotspots.

Police urge the public to stay alert and report any suspicious behaviour near high-end retail areas.
