Second Man Charged in Jack Hague Murder Probe
A second suspect has been charged in the murder investigation of Jack Hague in Tower Hamlets. Umair Rafiq, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested on Sunday, 12 May. He is set to appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 13 May, facing murder charges.
Earlier Arrest: First Suspect Held
Earlier, Mohammed Ikram Uddin, 24, also of no fixed address, was charged with Jack’s murder on Friday, 10 May. He will make a court appearance at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 14 May.
Murder Details and Family Support
Police launched their murder probe after responding to reports of a fight at around 8.20pm on Sunday, 5 May, on Corfield Street, E2. Officers found 38-year-old Jack Hague with a stab wound. Despite urgent medical efforts, he died at the scene.
Jack’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers during this tragic time.
