Second Man Charged Over Teen’s Brutal Murder in Edmonton
Police have charged Josiah James Semper, 18, from Cromie Close, in connection with the stabbing murder of 16-year-old Taye Faik. The charge came on Friday, November 17. Semper is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, November 21.
First Suspect Already Facing Court
Bernard Carroll, 19, of Church Street, N9, was arrested earlier on November 6. He is also charged and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, February 2.
Other Arrests and Bail
- A 16-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail.
- A 20-year-old man and two 22-year-old women were arrested for assisting an offender; all three have also been bailed.
Tragic Stabbing in Kendal Gardens
The fatal stabbing took place on Sunday, October 1, in Kendal Gardens, N18. Emergency services rushed to the scene but Taye was pronounced dead. A post-mortem on October 4 confirmed sharp force trauma to the chest as the cause of death.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Ben Dalloway from the Met’s Specialist Crime North thanked the public for their help but stressed the investigation is ongoing. He urged anyone with information to come forward, saying even small tips could be vital.
