Burglar Busted After Blitz on Hollingbury Homes

A man has been nailed after a brazen burglary spree hit homes in Hollingbury Rise, thanks to a sharp crackdown by the local Burglary Team.

Three Break-Ins in Days

On 14 July, 33-year-old Oliver Pierce of Brentwood Road allegedly smashed his way into two homes and tried a third in the Hollingbury Rise area. Just three days later, cops raided his house and caught him red-handed with Class B drugs – cannabis and ketamine.

Quick Arrest and Guilty Plea

Pierce was swiftly arrested and slapped with multiple charges. He showed remorse and pleaded guilty at Lewes Crown Court on 15 August.

Now in custody, Pierce faces sentencing on 3 September.

Swift Justice Thanks to Police and Public Tips

The Brighton and Hove Burglary Team’s lightning-fast work led to Pierce’s arrest within days of the offences. Their prompt action, combined with vital community tips, cracked the case wide open.

This outcome highlights how police tackle complex crimes involving both burglary and drug offences, aiming to keep neighbourhoods safe and put criminals behind bars.
