Paedophile Bradley Kite has been slammed with 12 years and nine months behind bars for grooming and abusing vulnerable teenage girls in Sittingbourne. The 42-year-old used gifts, cash, and slick emotional manipulation to pose as a boyfriend while carrying out horrific offences.

Grotesque Abuse Uncovered

Kite, of Lydbrook Close, pleaded guilty to 13 serious sexual offences at maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court, including:

  • Sexual activity with a child
  • Sexual assaults of a child
  • Engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child
  • Causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity

He was also found guilty by a jury of an additional sexual assault charge that he denied.

Groomed with Gifts and Lies

The monster showered his victims with expensive presents, jewellery, and cash. He took them shopping and sent sexualised messages to one girl who believed she had a romantic relationship with him.

The abuse was exposed in June 2024 after one brave victim confided in a family member, sparking a Kent Police investigation. Specialist child protection detectives uncovered more victims, and Kite was arrested on 27 June 2024.

Harsh Sentence and Lifetime Restrictions

On Wednesday, 6 August 2025, the judge sentenced Kite to:

  • 12 years and 9 months in prison – serving at least two-thirds before release
  • 5 years on licence after release
  • A 25-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) banning contact with minors and controlling device use

Police Speak Out

“Kite is a dangerous offender who preyed on the vulnerability of young teenage girls,” said Detective Constable Daniel Alai. “He manipulated and abused them for his own gratification. I’m pleased he received a lengthy sentence and that the SHPO will help protect potential future victims.”

“The courage of the girls in this case should be commended,” he added. “These crimes have had a lasting impact on them and their families. We will always listen sensitively to victims and bring offenders like Kite to justice.”
