Energy Bill Shock: Submit Your Meter Reading Now or Pay Up!
Don’t get caught out by April’s energy price hike! Make sure you submit your meter reading to your supplier right away. It’s crunch time before the new OFGEM price cap kicks in on 1st April 2022, slashing bills for some but sending prices soaring for millions more.
Why Act Now? The Price Cap Changes Everything
From April 1st, energy rates will rocket under the new OFGEM rules. To avoid being charged the higher rates for energy you used before this date, your meter reading must be submitted immediately.
If you can’t submit on the exact day, take photos of your meter with date stamps. This will protect you if suppliers struggle with the surge in meter reading submissions.
Mark Your Diary: 31st March 2022
This is the final day to lock in the old, cheaper energy rates. Missing this deadline means you risk paying more for energy already used. Suppliers will be swamped, so don’t delay!
